Who We are
State 38 in Snowmass Village is the latest culinary experience in the Snowmass Base Village. The same team that brought you Base Camp Bar & Grill, Slice of Italy, and Sake have now joined together with Executive Chef Zander Tekus to bring you a dining experience that is both world class as well as uniquely Coloradoan. We pull inspiration for both our atmosphere and our menu from the 38th State added to the Union and the one that we all call home, Colorado.
Our restaurant features multiple, unique dining spaces that make State 38 perfect for a casual lunch or apres, a relaxed fine dining dinner, or a private dining experience.
The well appointed dining room is our take on a modern, relaxed, mountain atmosphere. This is the perfect location for a off mountain dining experience for either lunch or dinner.
Our patio features one of the most commanding views up Snowmass Mountain and has a line of site over the entire Base Village Plaza; making it the perfect location to meet family and friends after a day on the mountain. The constant sunlight as well as five fire pit dining tables makes our patio the premier location for a warm bite; or enjoy a drink at our unique indoor-outdoor two way bar.
Our lounge is the perfect location for grabbing a cocktail or some light bites with family and friends throughout the day. With large couch seating, live edge wood tables and a fireplace, this is the perfect place to recharge after a day on in the mountains.
To complete our lineup of unique spaces is our private dining room. Capable of comfortably sitting up to 24 people and a functioning fireplace, this is the perfect location to host holiday gatherings, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners or corporate events.
Our food is both highly creative and fantastically approachable. We pride ourselves in presenting a menu based on seasonally available ingredients, much of which are sourced locally in Colorado. We believe the best food is grown with respect for the environment. We use many organic and hydroponically grown ingredients, sustainably caught seafood, and pasture raised meats. We combine these locally sourced elements with the inventive vision of our chefs, layering bold flavors with powerful simplicity.
